D.A. Academy of NC is a fully- licensed North Carolina Dental Assisting Proprietary School dedicated to providing students with the best dental education around. Our licensing bodies are both the NC Community College board and the NC Dental board.
Our 12-week Dental Assisting I course consists of thorough lectures paired with hands-on clinical. Most students find our course schedule very convenient due to five different schedule options:
Monday & Wednesday 9 am - 12:30 pm
Monday & Wednesday 6 pm - 9:30 pm
Tuesday & Thursday 6 pm - 9:30 pm
Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Saturdays 8 am - 4 pm.

Job Interview and Placement Assistance
Proper image, dress resume, and how to prepare for the job interview itself Difficult questions you may face – how to answer them, what to do and what not to do during the interview and what to expect. Dental offices reach out regularly to us about their open positions, therefore we are always working with our current students and graduates to gain employment. Short term training, long term employment is the goal!
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median dental assistant salary in North Carolina is $44,820 a year and is rising because dental assistants are in such high demand. The job outlook is increasing over 7% faster than the average for all occupations.
The highest 10 percent of dental assistants earned more than $59,200 a year. Once you become a dental assistant there are many different paths you can take to advance. After graduating from our program, you will have the opportunity to earn advanced certifications while working in a dental office.
Additional certifications provide a pathway to continue advancing your dental assisting career.
We are approved providers for the grant given through this amazing program! The grant that this program offers may cover the entire tuition cost or a large part of it! Grant money does not need to be paid back. We have direct contacts for your county to put you in touch with.
